So, back to business. What's happening in our market right now? Well, if you want to get a general idea, you can check out www.HotCharlotteDeals.com to see a list of distressed property sales and other homes listed on our local MLS.

Right now, there are 1,500 active listings in the Lake Norman area, with 565 of them under contract. This is extremely high compared to past years. Over the last 30 days we've seen 330 closings in the area! The list-to-sale price is a fantastic 96.9% and homes are only sitting on the market for about 79 days

In Charlotte, we're seeing similar numbers. In Charlotte and Union County, there are 3,800 homes on the market, with 1,900 of those homes under contract - this means one in every three homes listed is under contract, which is very high. In the last 30 days, 70 homes have sold. Overall, homes are sitting on the market for an average of 73 days, with a list-to-sale ratio of 97.5%.

What's this mean for you? Well, the Lake Norman and Charlotte areas are still incredibly hot. If you're looking to buy or sell a home, your best option is to speak with a real estate professional.
